Final SEC bowl projections

NEW: Follow on facebook -

The final BCS projections come out tonight, and all the bowl selections will be made at that time.

Here are SDS’ final bowl projections:

BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. Notre Dame
Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Oklahoma
Capital One Bowl: Georgia vs. Nebraska
Outback Bowl: South Carolina vs. Michigan
Cotton Bowl: LSU vs. Texas
Chick-fil-A Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Clemson
Gator Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Northwestern
Music City Bowl: Vanderbilt vs. NC State
BBVA Compass Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Pittsburgh

It’s pretty much a consensus that Florida moves to #3, jumping Georgia. The #3 team in the BCS automatically gets a BCS bowl game – the Kansas State rule.

Heading into the SEC Championship game, it was a forgone conclusion that Texas A&M was heading to the Capital One Bowl, but with the impressive showing from the Bulldogs against the Tide, could the Capital One Bowl ultimately choose Georgia over Texas A&M?

I wouldn’t mind getting the Capital One Bowl. It would be better than the Outback Bowl.

It should be the sugar bowl. Screw Florida we beat them and made it to the conference championship, but we are penalized for barely losing to a great team in Alabama so it’s off to the capital one bowl. Screw Florida. Sorry Kevin

      • also for getting handled by South Carolina

I agree, but they are the almighty Florida and the only plus I can think of is they will bring a crowd

      • Also for not having to play either Alabama or LSU in the regular season. I think Florida should get the the sugar bowl.

      • …we sorta benefited from that in 2007. Tennessee played in the SEC Championship and we didn’t but went to the Sugar Bowl…granted Tennessee wasn’t even ranked…but ya know…

      • I didn’t even know that Bulldogs could cry like that. Florida had the most difficult schedule of anyone in the top 10, and Georgia was beaten twice. TWICE. Once by a team that Florida easily beat. You should look into becoming a Ducks fan, they like to cry about things being “unfair”, and they suck just as much as Georgia. SAID ITS GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!

Dude guess what? We beat YOU! You would be in the title game but we came in and whooped you and crushed your dreams. Congrats. And the only reason we lost twice is because we did something you couldnt. We made it to the SEC Championship game. And we might (ik ik might) be in the BCS Championship if we had 10 more seconds last night. You were never that close

  2. so how many 10-11 win SEC teams have to entertain 6-8 win big 10 and acc teams? bowl tie-ins are a joke.
