Fast, strong and tough are just some of the characteristics that NFL personnel executives and other NFL Draft watchers like about Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy.

That’s why he tops a list of draft-eligible wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft, according to a list compiled by Matt Bowen of ESPN. As Bowen noted, NFL scouts appreciate the production, pro size and advanced route running that this crop of college receivers possesses, led by Jeudy.

The pro comparison for Jeudy is Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham, Jr., as he’s considered a “complete receiver.” That may have been why Mel Kiper Jr. listed Jeudy as his top overall prospect in the 2020 class on his first “Big Board” reveal.

“The route running and separation ability in the Alabama quick passing game are there,” Bowen wrote. “So is the catch-and-run talent. And don’t sleep on Jeudy as a vertical threat. He can scoot. But I focused on play speed here because it jumps off the film. Jeudy can attack all three levels of Bama’s pro route tree with a silky-smooth style that leaves defenders in the dust. Play fast. That wins.”

Jeudy has the ability to expose the defense from a variety of routes, and types of plays.

“The combination of Jeudy and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa averaged over 20 yards per reception last season, the best of any QB-WR duo with at least 50 receptions,” Bowen wrote. “And there’s the explosive play ability that draws the comp to OBJ.”
