Last week, we asked Alabama fans a series of questions regarding the state of Crimson Tide football. Questions ranged from the Alabama QB battle to Nick Saban’s future, and one thing is clear: Alabama fans are pretty optimistic about the future.

Before we get into the future, let’s take a look at the 2015 season, and how Alabama fans feel about it:

Question: How far will Alabama go in 2015?

A healthy 63% of Alabama fans predict the Tide will win a national championship. What do you expect? Alabama fans expect titles every year (for good reason).

Question: Who should be Alabama’s starting QB for week 1 this season?

No surprise here… Jake Coker received 63% of the vote. Cornwell was 2nd with 21%.

Question: Which team on the 2015 schedule do you think has the best chance at beating Alabama?

Alabama fans believe Georgia has the best chance of beating them this year, but perhaps the heated in-state rivalry pushed fans to give Georgia some credit over Auburn.

Question: Which aspect of the 2015 Alabama team concerns you the most?

Fans seem to be concerned chiefly with inexperience at the quarterback position (43%). After the QB position, fans are most concerned with the secondary (30%).

Next, we turn to the future of Nick Saban. Overall, fans believe Saban will be around Tuscaloosa for many more years, and when Saban does leave, well, he shouldn’t be replaced by Lane Kiffin…

Question: How many more seasons after 2015 do you think Nick Saban will remain the coach of the Crimson Tide?

This might be a little bit of wishful thinking with the fans, but regardless, the Alabama faithful believe Saban isn’t going anywhere.

Question: If Nick Saban were to retire after this season, would you want Alabama to hire Kirby Smart or Lane Kiffin as the next head coach?

It doesn’t appear that fans have a great deal of confidence in Lane Kiffin as a possible head coach, but I’m a little surprised how favorable fans view Kirby Smart as a possible successor to Nick Saban.
