When Nick Saban left LSU for an ill-fated stint in the NFL following the 2004 season, Les Miles was the coach that took his place.
When Saban landed at Alabama in 2007, he became quite familiar with the Miles-led Tigers.
The Crimson Tide have had several incredible battles with LSU since Saban took over, including the 2011 national championship game.
On Monday, during his weekly press conference, Saban addressed LSU’s recent firing of Miles:
Saban on Les Miles: First of all, Les Miles is one of the most respected colleagues in terms of rivalry we've had.

Saban on Les Miles' firing at LSU: "I kind of hate it that a man wins a national title and 2 SEC titles and can't make it through a season."

#Bama CNS: Les Miles is one of the most respected colleagues. This is similar to Georgia firing Mark Richt. It's the time we live in.

Alabama and LSU will face off in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Nov. 5. It’s safe to say it won’t be the same without Les Miles on the sideline opposite of Nick Saban.
