Alabama made big news on Friday evening — as head coach Nick Saban tabbed New England Patriots TE coach Brian Daboll as the new offensive coordinator.

The Crimson Tide’s offensive prowess in recent years has truly sat with the running game. This will likely be highlighted even further in 2017 — especially considering the fact Alabama returns QB Jalen Hurts, and a deep backfield featuring Bo Scarbrough, Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs, and stud incoming freshman Najee Harris.

While many Alabama fans would scream for the offense to “run the ball,” one is trying to turn this premise into a concrete change.

A Change.org petition was recently created by an individual named Bobby Wesson. The presumed Alabama fan is hoping the new offensive coordinator would change his name from “Brian” to “Run.”

Here’s what Wesson detailed in the petition:

This petition has been created to change new Alabama Football offensive coordinator Brian Daboll’s first name to “RUN.”

Imagine what the Alabama offense would look like on Saturdays if Brian Daboll heard “RUN DABOLL” 7 days a week. Imagine a world with Nick Saban yelling “RUN DABOLL” at Brian on the field instead of you yelling it at him through the television. Imagine 3rd and 3 and a stadium screaming as Bo breaks down the field for it all because “Run Daboll” called RUN DA BALL.

Imagine it. Embrace it. Sign it. Share it. Change it. Run it.

RUN. DA. BOLL.

As of Saturday afternoon, Wesson has accrued 41 signatures. While it’s unlikely Daboll will give in to the request, it certainly would be humorous.
