On Friday, it was reported that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was in talks to become the new head coach at Florida Atlantic University.

However, on Saturday morning, the same site that reported those rumors, FootballScoop.com, said the negotiations between Kiffin and FAU have “hit a stumbling block.”

What exactly the stumbling block is has yet to be reported, but it may well be terms for a potential buyout.

No matter what the issue is, time is running out for Kiffin if he wants to be a head coach in 2017. Soon, his best options will be staying at Alabama or taking the same job at LSU.
