Lighting cigars and singing ‘Rammer Jammer’ are regular occurrences inside Bryant-Denny Stadium these days, and the 45-7 victory over Tennessee was no exception.
The student section gave a full-throated rendition on Saturday of the song as the Crimson Tide coasted to an 11th straight victory over Tennessee.
“Hey Vols, Hey Vols, we just beat the hell out of you!
Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer give em’ hell Alabama!”
Fans, coaches and players were in much better spirits after a lackluster start to the game when Alabama was up by “just” 21 points. Bo Scarbrough had two fourth-down touchdown runs to help Alabama pull away.
