Texas A&M defensive ends Myles Garrett and Daeshon Hall are arguably the best pass rush tandem in college football.

Arkansas tight end coach Barry Lunney isn’t overlooking the duo in preparation for Saturday’s game at AT&T Stadium. The assistant described the pair as big, long, quick-twitch and physical and even complemented them as the ideal football video game characters, according to Hawgs247.

“I guess if you were building a Madden team and you pick defensive ends, you would want them to look like that,” Lunney said.

Garrett led the SEC with 12.5 sacks in 2015 and set the SEC freshman record with 11.5 in 2014. The two-time All-SEC defensive end made a crucial play during last year’s matchup by strip-sacking Brandon Allen with one minute remaining. Despite missing a 38-yard field goal attempt on the ensuing possession, the Aggies eventually won 28-21 in overtime.

Hall recorded seven sacks in 2015 and 4.5 sacks in 2014. But the junior still thinks there’s room for improvement for himself and Garrett.

“We can be a lot better,” Hall told GigEm247. “There’s always room for improvement. We’re not satisfied until we get a shutout. We’ve had one but we need a little bit more.

“I feel like everybody can get better. There’s not just one spot on the team. Me and Myles (Garrett) can get better and the inside guys can get better. Everybody can get better.”

Both players should be crucial to A&M’s success on Saturday facing an Arkansas offensive line that has allowed six sacks in three games.
