It looks like the Razorbacks will be without QB Austin Allen for a bit longer.

Arkansas remains without a win in the SEC following a 41-9 loss to No. 1 Alabama. The Razorbacks could not do much against the Crimson Tide as the team ran for just 27 yards in the loss.

Freshman QB Cole Kelley got the start in place of the injured Allen, but there was not much he could do against Alabama’s strong defense. Kelley completed 23 of 42 passes for 200 yards, a TD, and an interception. It was a tough task trying to compete against the Tide in Tuscaloosa, and Alabama made sure to keep Kelley uncomfortable all night long.

Allen missed the game after being injured against South Carolina, and it appears he will miss more time as he tries to get healthy. Head coach Bret Bielema announced in his press conference Monday that Allen will probably be out a few more weeks.

Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly shared Bielema’s comments on Twitter:

The Razorbacks next two games are against Auburn and Ole Miss. Both games will likely be tough and will be even tougher without Allen under center.

Saturday’s kickoff against Auburn is set for 7:30 pm EST on the SEC Network.
