Alex Collins. Jonathan Williams. Korliss Marshall.

Those three names will be the most important for the Arkansas offense on Saturday against the Auburn Tigers as the Hogs look to upset the defending SEC Champions on the road.

The best thing about Arkansas’ stable of running backs? They all bring something a little different to the table.

Collins is an outstanding blend of size, power and speed. He’ll get the extra yards after contact, he’s the workhorse. Williams can lower the pads and bring Arkansas even more power to running game. Marshall is the most dynamic of the three. If he gets enough touches this afternoon, his explosiveness should lead to big plays in both the running and return game.

Despite a rough 3-9 season in 2013, Arkansas is the only SEC team to return two runners that rushed for at least 900 yards each last year.

Bielema has utilized a three running back system often in the past. He said it’s been the key to his success as a coach.

“Every championship season I’ve been involved in,” Bielema said after the spring game, “we’ve been a team that has used three running backs.”

I won’t go as far to say that Arkansas will claim a championship this season, but their trio of Collins, Williams and Marshall will play a massive role in the improvement of the Hogs this season. If they have a big game against Auburn, the college football world could be looking at a huge upset in Jordan-Hare.
