WATCH: Chad Morris reveals inaugural 'Broyles Razorback Award' winner
Chad Morris is working to bring the Arkansas program back to being a national powerhouse. In his time at UA, Morris has taken notice of the Razorbacks football program’s proud history. He wants his players to be aware of that history as well.
Starting with the 2019 season, Arkansas will have a team award in honor of legendary Razorbacks coach the late Frank Broyles. The “Broyles Razorback Award” (not to be confused with the national Broyles Award honoring the best assistant coach in the country) will go to a senior every season who embodies the spirit of Broyles’ dedication to the UA football program.
The inaugural “Broyles Razorback Award” winner is defensive lineman T.J. Smith. Allison Broyles Hawkins, Frank’s granddaughter, also spoke to the team for the presentation, which can be viewed below:
Coach Broyles embodies what a legend is and to keep his legacy alive beginning this season a Razorback senior will be recognized as the Broyles Razorback Award winner.
