Jordan Colbert is not returning to the Auburn football team for the 2016 season.
According to a report from AL.com, the freshman defensive back will instead transfer to Holmes Community College in Mississippi.
Colbert was a four-star safety recruit out of Georgia in the 2015 recruiting class and was rated as the nation’s 168th best player, according to 247 Sports.
AL.com’s Wesley Sinor reports that a source says Colbert, who redshirted last season, was not given a full release when he intially expressed a desire to transfer.
