Cornerback Jayvaughn Myers (Dade City, Fla./Pasco) has elected to join his brother, wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, on the plains of Alabama.

The three-star prospect committed to Auburn over a host of additional suitors, including North Carolina, which was the runner up for his brother.

Myers is a 6-foot-1 cornerback prospect (those guys don’t grow on trees) who adds quality depth to a young, but talented Tigers secondary. He was an Under Armour All-American this past season and has excellent ball skills to go along with his elite size.

Myers continues a great signing day for Auburn, which could end up cementing a top 10 recruiting class for the cycle should the Tigers end up landing five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown, the No. 1 prospect from the state of Georgia, later this afternoon.

Brown announces at 3 p.m. on ESPN2. Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama are the other finalists.
