Auburn stays hot on recruiting trail, beats out rivals for elite 4-star DB
Auburn landed a big-time commitment on Monday.
Anquon Fegans is staying in his home state to play on The Plains. The blue-chip defensive back announced his commitment to play for Hugh Freeze’s program on social media with the help of On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Out of Alabaster (Alabama) Thompson High School, Fegans is listed as measuring 6-1 and 180 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Fegans is rated 4-stars, the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama, No. 3 safety and No. 44 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

As one of the top prospects in the nation, Fegans picked up scholarship offers from 32 programs. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M were among the programs that showed interest.
For Monday’s announcement, Fegans narrowed it down to Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Clemson.

Auburn has closed the month of July on a recruiting tear. Joining Fegans as recent Class of 2025 commits are 4-star ATH Derick Smith, 4-star DL Antonio Coleman, 4-star CB Blake Woodby and in-state P John Alan McGuire.
