Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn’s name has been linked to the now-vacant head coaching position at Florida.
According to SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum, Malzahn made his short list of candidates.

Malzahn was asked about the opening on Tuesday during his weekly meeting with the media. He denied any interest in the Gators, reports AL.com’s Brandon Marcello.
Gus Malzahn said he has confidence in defensive staff when asked if he has confidence in Ellis Johnson and Co. this year and next season.
