When the tree at Toomer’s Corner was set ablaze late Saturday night following Auburn’s win over LSU, nearly everyone in close proximity was awestruck by the fire. Considering that, credit deservedly should go to Auburn student Herron Taylor, as she was the one person who took action to apprehend the arsonist Jochen Wiest, according to AL.com’s James Crepea.

In the video above, Taylor tells her side of the story and reacts Saturday night in combination with the video of Wiest setting the tree on fire.

Taylor also details the feedback she has been getting from the Auburn family after her bold decision to confront Wiest, although she has stated the quick response of local fire department and police should be praised more so than anything she did that night.
