"Heisman should go to McCaffrey, no contest." This x 1000. I'm a Bama fan till I die and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Henry but you can't deny what McCaffrey has done this year. He is the best all around college football player in 2015 which is what the Heisman winner should be. That kid is amazing.
"They have struggled against some really bad teams this year (at home). " The only team that gave them trouble (outside of Florida) would be EKU, which was clearly a trap game. The were taking care of business against UL-Lafayette and they scored some garbage TDs at the end to make it look close. I'm not saying UK is the class of the east but your comment makes zero sense.
When you're right you're right. Curly needs to stop talking and worry about coaching his players. Somebody get this blowhard a muzzle.
Just to clarify this was supposed to be in reply to wolfman's comment above.
This is 100% incorrect. These are just t-shirt designs for 2015. These teams won't be wearing jerseys based off of t-shirts. Come on guys.
Right, the author addressed this in paragraph 6.
Cracks me up. How many comments on this website are a product of NOT reading the entire article. At least 35 - 40%
Also Notre Dame doesn't piece together their ACC schedule the same as Missouri doesn't their SEC schedule, it's based on a rotation. "Notre Dame plays five ACC schools a year, with every ACC team facing Notre Dame at least once in a three-year period." They do however load up their non-conference with other power teams. Yes they have their 3 cupcake games a year but they also play USC and Stanford every year, which are really good teams. Not to mention they play Texas this year and will play Texas A&M, Georgia, Michigan State, Ohio State in the coming years. How can you honestly say they don't deserve a spot in the playoff if they have a successful season against those opponents? Doesn't make any sense to me.
@virtualkelly Saw this on twitter https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1785130 while it most likely won't change your opinion it is a good (long) read on this topic. The author makes the point I'm trying to make but intelligently. Reminder, I'm Bama fan for life. I'm just not so quick to say 'Notre Dame doesn't belong because they're not in a conference' as most people are.
I'm not even sure what I just watched...
My typos completely kill any point I tried to make, never mind!
If Notre Dame is forced to play ACC teams then those can be considered 'conference games' the ACC is a power conference of I'm not mistaken. Regardless of how weak you think it is. Then look at the non conference games and Notre Dame's blows Missouri's out of the water by play 2 Pac-12 schools and a Big-12 school. Both of those being power conferences. The toughest non conference game on your schedule is an Independent...come on.
I think Pinkel should take another look at Notre Dame’s schedule. Notre Dame HAS to by rule play ACC teams because their other sports are in that conference. Looking at the non ACC schools ND plays compared to the non SEC Teams Mizzou plays. Notre Dame: Texas USC Stanford UMass Navy Temple Mizzou: Southeast Missouri Arkansas State UConn BYU Notre Dame doesn’t play a cupcake schedule. If they run the table or even drop 1 game to a power school they have every right to be in it (and get beat by Bama).
Did you guys notice the pattern on the black/grey helmet. It's the smokey mountains...pretty cool actually.
jmw589 yea to your point, and I hate to say it, it may be good for college football that an SEC team isn't in it. The SEC hate is real, so now you have two conferences other than the SEC with a National Title the past two years. Only makes CFB stonger.
NavyBama, come on now. I bleed crimson as I'm sure you do and it kills me that Bama isn't playing tonight but to say Ohio State will roll and that it won't be even close is a little ridiculous. I don't think it will be a blowout either way. Oregon will win a close one because they are the more talented team.
