You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means. THIS is a *bold* prediction: Miss State wins by 21+.
A few things bug me about the media coverage thus far: a>how can you talk about how horrible the pass coverage was AND say it's a bad thing that we lost our secondary players? I say good riddance, because they sucked, and I'm stoked to see changes at those positions. b>yes, the offensive line changes are the biggest question mark, duh. But that QB, though! He'll be fine. c>I totally understand that it'll take 3 or 4 10-win seasons in a row and some won championships before the media stops treating success at MSU as a simple flash-in-the-pan, but come-on. This season's schedule looks WAY easier than last season. Alabama/LSU both at home is why the Dawgs will win the SEC this year.
I know Prescott doesn't want the distraction, but he should do society a favor and press charges against the guy that kicked him in the head while he was down. That's assault with a deadly weapon in some states, and according to Twitter, the kid is already on parol from a previous felony. He's a menace that needs to be taken off the streets, so I at LEAST hope the state of Florida presses charges!
Unless, of course, the CFBPlayoff Committee decides that only conference champions (or only the SEC Champ) can make it to the playoffs.
If two SEC teams make it into the playoffs, it will completely undermine the entire concept of a PLAYOFF. A 4-team playoff is sudden death! Therefore, having a playoff should mean the regular season is sudden death. The SEC Champion should be the ONLY team from the SEC that can make it in. For instance, why in the world should Ole Miss get a shot at the national championship in a playoff if they've ALREADY LOST to Miss State? (hypothetically, obviously). Am I the only one that is baffled by the idea that two teams could meet for the second time in the playoffs? It shouldn't be possible if the playoff committee is fair. (And I'm a HUGE SEC fan, don't get me wrong. I just feel like it's ridiculous to have two teams that have already met on the field play again in the playoff given that it's a 4-game. If this was a 64-team playoff like in basketball, I wouldn't care.)
