Mizzou was the underdog to aTm, Tenn and Arky as well. So by my count this is the sixth time in nine conference games that Mizzou is the dog. I know Mizzou fans play the no respect card a lot but when was the last time in the final week of the season a division winner was a home dog against the last place team in the other division? So playing as the underdog in Atlanta is no big deal to Mizzou. Those of you that think Bama has already punched their ticket to the playoffs could be surprised if Mizzou's offense manages the ball and the defense continues the improvement they have show as Marcus Golden has gotten healthy.
On the Shane Ray Play the fault lies with the back judge. If the judge is hustling up to the QB blowing his whistle and waving his hands the d-lineman will see him and pull up. At the Mizzou game the ref just stood there blowing his whistle. In the Ole Miss game it was more understandable because there was no ref in the area to protect Dak.
I obviously meant some semblance of a passing game instead of running game there.
I have to disagree with one comment. When you say that Mizzou did not have much success stopping the run you do realize that Arky was held 70 yards under their season average, right? If you take out the twenty-some yard run by the punter they were almost 100 yards below their season average. That does not sound like a defense that was struggling against the run. I know everyone has been giving Arky props and I thought the played a good game against the Tigers but until they developed some semblance of a running game I don't see them as anything but an afterthought in the SEC. BB's run only attack was successful in the BIG but I think SEC teams are too athletic for that to work here.
