Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow announced his desire to play professional baseball this week.

Needless to say, the decision caught most everybody off guard. A Heisman Trophy winner and two-time national champion on the gridiron, Tebow hasn’t made regular appearances on the diamond since 2005.

Video began to surface of Tebow in the batting cage recently. He does indeed have a pretty good-looking swing. However, hitting in a cage in no way resembles the cutters, sinkers and sliders he’ll see in an actual game.

In many circles, Tebow is an untouchable figure. His accomplishments on and off the field made him one of the most celebrated athletes we’ve seen. But public figures subject themselves to criticism.
