Florida is indeed in rebuild mode.

Florida’s ticket office is offering a promotion where you can pay $5 to get into the 2015 opener if you are the guest of a student.

It’s no surprise that Florida’s been at the bottom of watchability rankings for several years. Combine the on-field entertainment value with the hundred degree heat and it’s no surprise that Florida is struggling to fill the Swamp for the opener.

It also doesn’t help that Florida’s 2014 opener was such a debacle. Last year’s opener was delayed for hours before being rained out completely. The game was so meaningless that both teams opted to not reschedule it.

For $5, you can see if the Gators can outdo last year’s opener. The Gators open the 2015 season against New Mexico State on Sep. 5, 2015.
