The Florida Gators sent shockwaves around college football with their upset over the No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs. It wasn’t that Florida just eked out a victory over the Bulldogs, but rather, it was how punishing and physical Florida looked.
One of the unlikely heroes of Saturday’s game was holder Mike McNeely, who took off his red cape and returned to his regularly scheduled job at Publix Sunday after taking a fake field goal in for a 21-yard touchdown run. You can watch the fake field goal video here.
McNeely’s touchdown run was Florida’s first score of the game, and it was a momentum boost for a team that needed something positive after UGA jumped out to a 7-0 lead.
