Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators are hot on the recruiting trail.
The Gators started the day with 13 commitments, and they finished the day with 16, with the last commitment coming Monday night to Georgia athlete Chris Williamson. Earlier today, the Gators flipped three-star safety Kylan Johnson from Kansas State, and Florida landed its biggest commitment to date in running back Jordan Scarlett this evening.
Williamson, a three-star athlete from Gainesville, Georgia, will play cornerback at Florida, and Williamson was one of the fastest rising stars to end the 2015 recruiting cycle. He chose the Gators over Michigan and North Carolina.
McElwain is putting together a good-looking recruiting class in a short amount of time, and it’s not even National Signing Day yet.
