One of Florida’s 20 current commitments will not be a faxing in a Letter of Intent on National Signing Day.

Three-star Stanhope Elmore (Milbrook, Ala.) TE Zech Bryd told the Montgomery Advertiser’s Duane Rankin that he is not signing with the Gators on Wednesday.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Byrd told Rankin. The 6-foot, 6-inch, 236-pound tight end also received offers from Alabama, Michigan, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech.

He reportedly still plans to sign with Florida at a later date. If Byrd does come to UF, he could be deep on the depth chart. The Gators return four tight ends, including DeAndre Goolsby and C’yontai Lewis, and also have a commitment from 4-star prospect Kemore Gamble.
