Tim Tebow is back in Mets’ blue and orange this week as spring baseball has gotten underway around the nation.

The former Florida all-time great quarterback seems to be prepared for the upcoming season and is hitting the ball with some power for his first day back on the diamond. According to Steve Gardner of USA TODAY Sports, Tebow was belting several home runs in his first round of batting practice.

Tebow spoke to reporters after his first day back and seemed more relaxed and at ease getting an opportunity to simply play the game.

“I focus on what I can control, my attitude, my effort, my focus and trying to get better every single day,” Tebow said on his first day back. “I’m not going to worry about what everyone’s writing, what everybody’s thinking, or however I’m being marketed because I think for me, I just want to be able to continue to be able to process, enjoy the process, enjoy every day, get to know my teammates and have fun out there.”

Of course, following the practice, Tebow was mobbed by fans seeking his autograph. No surprise, Tebow was happy to oblige.
