One of our favorite writers at SDS is Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples.
Staples went on the Paul Finebaum Show Wednesday, and he said one SEC East program is the best job in college football.

Most would argue that Alabama and Florida are better coaching jobs than Georgia, not to mention programs like Texas, Ohio State and USC. The Peach State secret is out, though. The state of Georgia has more players on SEC rosters than any other state in the country, and the Bulldogs get the pick of the litter. That’s a massive reason why Staples suggested the idea.
Because Georgia is the No. 4 state in terms of talent production, and UGA has the least in-state competitors. https://t.co/yHcLQKkgYs

That's not how you judge how good a job is. That's how you judge whether a program has underachieved. https://t.co/FPvv2ahBAT

Staples also suggests that hard questions should be asked should expectations not be met this season. Obviously, the goal at Georgia is to win the conference and national championship every year. The Bulldogs haven’t won a national championship since 1980.
We ranked the SEC’s coaching jobs 1-14 this spring. You can view that here.
