Kirby Smart will make every effort to ensure the state of Georgia locks down its borders in the near future.
He’s getting an early start on the class of 2017, too.
Smart and the Bulldogs picked up a commitment from 6-foot-5, 195-pound wide receiver Xavier Jenkins Thursday night. The Valdosta native has emerged onto the national scene in recent weeks, and he’s rated as a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports Rankings.
Jenkins became Georgia’s fifth commitment for 2017.
A graduate of the University of Florida and founder of Saturday Down South, Kevin is a college football enthusiast.
