What’s the temperature like in Lexington, Ky.? Here’s who’s hot or cold for the Kentucky Wildcats.

RED HOT

Stanley Williams led the Wildcats with 104 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. The freshman reached the 100-yard plateau for the first time in his career, topping a previous best of 60 yards on five carries against Ohio. Williams has seen limited attempts behind a strong Kentucky depth chart that has seen breakout performances from several different running backs this season.

KEEPING WARM

Patrick Towles saw a solid performance in Saturday’s win. The redshirt sophomore threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns on 16-of-28 passing. Towles has excelled throughout the 2014 season when called upon in Kentucky’s improved offense. The Wildcats success running the football has opened up the passing game for Towles and the receiving corps.

COOLING OFF

Jojo Kemp recorded a season-best 131 yards and three touchdowns against South Carolina in Week 6. However, his performance against Louisiana-Monroe was far less memorable. Kemp finished with 11 yards on six carries, averaging 1.8 per attempt.

ICE COLD

Braylon Heard was a non-factor in Saturday’s win. The tailback rushed for -2 yards on three attempts and caught two passes for eight yards. After recording 116 yards and two touchdowns on just two attempts in Kentucky’s season opener, Heard was sidelined Week 2 with an injury and hasn’t seen reached the 100-yard plateau in any other game this season.
