Kentucky has issued its first injury report of the season.

The SEC announced last month that the 16 teams will use injury reports ahead of all conference contests. Kentucky and South Carolina meet on Saturday, the first conference clash of the season in the SEC.

SEC guidelines state teams must issue the Initial Report on Wednesday by 8 p.m. ET and update the Availability Report once per day on Thursday and Friday. On game day, teams must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before kickoff.

Here’s the initial Kentucky report for Saturday’s game against South Carolina:

  • Chip Trayanum – RB – Out
  • Darrion Henry Young – DL – Out
  • Courtland Ford – OL – Out
  • Hardley Gilmore IV – WR – Out
  • Josaih Hayes – DL – Out
  • Tavion Gadson – DL – Out
  • Brandon White – WR – Doubtful
  • Devin Smith – LB – Doubtful
  • DJ Waller Jr. – DB – Questionable
  • Keeshawn Silver – DL – Probable
  • Jamarion Wilcox – RB – Probable
  • Grant Godfrey – ILB – Probable
  • Josh Kattus – TE – Probable

The injury report is listed in likelihood of absence. Players labeled Out have 0% chance of playing on Saturday. Those listed Doubtful have a 25% chance of taking part in the game. Questionable is used for 50% chance to play, while Probable means the player has a 75% chance.

Kentucky’s headlining absences have been known before the report’s release.

Mark Stoops confirmed on Monday that Trayanum would miss the SEC opener against the Gamecocks. A big get out of the transfer portal, Trayanum is expected to lead the UK ground game when healthy.

In late August, Stoops announced that Courtland Ford would be sidelined for an extended period. A veteran transfer from USC, Ford played in all 13 games for the Wildcats last season. He made starts at right tackle against EKU in the regular season and against Clemson in the Gator Bowl.

Kentucky is a 10-point favorite in the game, set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff in Lexington. SDS has an exciting DraftKings KY promo for fans to get in on the action.
