Devin White made a bet with new LSU quarterback Joe Burrow before the start of fall camp. If the linebacker intercepted Burrow during camp, the quarterback would owe him $100.

Burrow doesn’t owe White anything.

While meeting with the media on Tuesday, White revealed that he never intercepted Burrow during camp. He said that Burrow threw some interceptions, but none of them went White’s way.

“He threw everybody else one but me,” White told the media. “Even K’Lavon [Chaisson] got one.”

While White may not have won $100, he should be glad that he couldn’t pick off Burrow, who transferred from Ohio State during the summer. Although if every other player on the Tigers actually notched an interception against him, then that may not be as impressive.

That bet wasn’t the only topic that White addressed on Tuesday. When asked how LSU’s offense could improve, White told the media that he should get snaps at running back. He also said that he is advocating to be put on kickoff duty, which seems like it could be more of a possibility than playing offense.

But who knows, perhaps the Tigers will utilize a formation that includes both Burrow and White at some point this season.

White was named an AP preseason first-team All-American on Tuesday, while Burrow continues to battle with sophomore Myles Brennan for the starting job at quarterback.
