Soon after Ed Orgeron was named head coach at LSU, the Tigers quickly extended a scholarship offer to Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa. That decision cost LSU dearly, as it shook the firm, months-long commitment of four-star quarterback Myles Brennan.

While Brennan never officially decommitted from the team, he began exploring his options with schools such as Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. Now with LSU having an answer at offensive coordinator with the hiring of Matt Canada, Brennan has apparently seen all he needs to see and is back firmly in the fold with the Tigers.

The quarterback signified his commitment to LSU by tweeting out this message Thursday:

It didn’t take long for Coach O to respond to the exciting news:

After years of struggling at the quarterback position, landing a prospect of Brennan’s caliber is crucial to the success of the Tigers’ long-term future under Orgeron. While no quarterback is a guarantee, adding additional talent to the quarterback room is something that is desperately needed in Baton Rouge.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Brennan is rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the nation, according to 247Sports.

We’ll see if LSU can regain the commitment of in-state quarterback Lowell Narcisse, who decommitted just this week due to the uncertainty at offensive coordinator. Now that the Tigers have an answer at play caller, Narcisse could rejoin LSU’s latest recruiting class before enrolling early in January.
