Whenever a coaching change is announced, two types of people receive increased attention – successors and future players.

LSU QB commit Myles Brennan tweeted Sunday evening that the news of Les Miles’ firing does not affect his pledge to the Tigers:

Brennan, from Bay Saint Louis (Miss.), committed to LSU on April 23. The Elite 11 quarterback is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite.

New recruiting coordinator Dameyune Craig can expect a strong push from division rival Ole Miss while LSU is without a permanent head coach. Brennan reacted with excitement to the Rebels’ offer this summer before reaffirming his pledge to the Tigers.
