LSU will be without safety Xavier Lewis for Saturday’s showdown with No. 23 Ole Miss, according to a report.

A source told Ross Dellenger of The Advocate that Lewis, a redshirt freshman who primarily plays on special teams, will not play. Lewis did not participate in team warmups.

The Tigers are also without starting safety Rickey Jefferson. Lewis is listed the third-string free safety behind John Battle, who will start in place of Jefferson, and Dwayne Thomas.
