LSU DL Rashard Lawrence has the potential to turn into a star for the Tigers’ defense, showing flashes of brilliance in 2017.

The rising junior has a huge fan in the coaching room, as legendary LSU DL coach Pete Jenkins can’t say enough about him.

As you can see in the video below, Jenkins lets out a couple of Ric Flair “woo!” impressions when asked about Lawrence:

“I’ve been coaching 52 years,” Jenkins says after his Ric Flair impression. “He might be the toughest football player I’ve ever coached.”

Lawrence recorded 32 tackles (3.5 for a loss) and 1.5 sacks in 11 games last season. He has room for improvement, but it’s clear Jenkins thinks he can become a difference maker.
