Following a 29-point win over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday, Mississippi State (9-0, 6-0) saw no movement in the polls. The Bulldogs remain the No. 1 team in both the Amway Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 poll. Mississippi State received 41 of a possible 62 first place votes in the coaches poll and 48 of 60 first place votes in the AP poll.

The Bulldogs are in for their biggest game of the season next week, when they hit the road to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-1, 5-1) in Tuscaloosa. Alabama is coming off a 20-13 overtime nail-biter against LSU, and the Tide currently sit at No. 3 in the coaches poll and No. 4 in the AP poll.
