Mississippi State fans lay into Jeff Lebby for poor performance against Florida
Mississippi State vs. Florida was one of the most intriguing matchups to watch of the weekend, but it was not because of the quality of the two opponents.
It was the lack thereof as many stand shocked that Billy Napier still has a job after he’s been largely responsible for putting the Gators in a historically bad spot, despite signing a top-15 recruiting class. Mississippi State has been just as bad as Florida, and perhaps even worse as the Bulldogs trail the Gators, 28-14 at the half.
Bulldogs fans have plenty of thoughts on why that is, and a lot of the blame is pointed at new head coach Jeff Lebby. There was optimism surrounding Lebby and his “score from far” offense. But it has quickly fizzled as the Bulldogs have dropped their last two games… to Arizona State and Toledo. That’s far from being up to the SEC standard and the level of play to be expected.
Here’s a look at what everyone is saying about Mississippi State:
Jeff Lebby was not ready to be a HC

Honestly how is Jeff Lebby the Head Coach of Miss State.
This team looks atrocious Vs Billy Napier

I see Jeff Lebby is still employing his patented “Hurry Up and Suck™️” offense

I think Mississippi State might be the worst team in the conference. Sad cowbell noises.

How about stop whining and support your brand new coach and team.
Thank you. There are lots of folks that think he’s okay.
He just got there folks. He has a brand new team this year. Everyone new on offence. Almost everyone new on Defense. Be reasonable and take the aforementioned advise: Support your brand new coach and team. Firing a coach every year will be a disaster for your program. Arrnett probably should have been given a second year to see if he could improve his team.
