Mississippi State starting safety Justin Cox has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested early Friday morning, according to multiple media reports.

Cox was arrested after the Oktibbeha County Police Department responded to a burglary call at 3 a.m. on Friday. At the scene, officers found a female victim with a wound on her head. Cox was arrested on suspicion of burglary of a dwelling and aggravated domestic assault and was taken to county jail.

Cox, a senior, has recorded 21 tackles, 4 pass deflections and an interception this season. He has played in nine games this year, starting eight of them.
