With QB Dak Prescott and WR De’Runnya Wilson gone, Mississippi State is going to be counting on WR Fred Ross to carry the Bulldogs offense this fall.
That’s why the news that Dan Mullen revealed on Wednesday following the Bulldogs first spring practice was a bummer to all Mississippi State supporters.
Ross is out for the spring following surgery to repair a groin issue.

A timetable for full recovery was not immediately revealed.
It is particularly troubling news for whoever the next Bulldogs quarterback is going to be this fall, as the spring could have served as a great opportunity to build a rapport with the team’s top offensive weapon.
Ross led the Bulldogs with 88 receptions last season for 1,007 yards, and caught five touchdown passes.
