Mizzou backup QB Marvin Zanders announced his decision to transfer from the Tigers on Thursday night.

The sophomore from Florida thanked the Mizzou program on Twitter in his transfer announcement:

In limited action in 2016, Zanders completed 10 of his 12 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 35 times for 198 yards and two more scores.

With Drew Lock, also a sophomore, taking hold of the starting job as the season wore on, Zanders’ opportunities to get on the field decreased.

He has yet to announce where he’ll play after sitting out the 2017 season.
