Before he crosses state lines and becomes a Tiger, Jafar Armstrong is leaving Kansas as the state’s record holder in touchdown receptions.

Bishop Meige (Mission, Kan.) won 53-21 over Buhler Saturday to claim the Class 4A title. Armstrong hauled in eight passes for 219 yards, including three touchdowns, bringing his career total to 45.

The 6-foot, 200-pound three-star wideout committed to Mizzou on June 14.
