NFL centers don’t always get talked about during an NFL game, but they have a huge responsibility in making sure the quarterback gets the ball as smooth and clean as possible.

Josh Myers is the center for the Green Bay Packers, and he was snapping the ball to quarterback Malik Willis during the game against the Indianapolis Colts.

He is supposed to make it as easy as possible for Willis, but that wasn’t the case on a key third down. Right before he snapped it, he vomited on the ball, but still snapped it back to Willis.

After the game, Packers coach Matt LaFleur described the situation, something he had never seen during the game.

“After the play, I asked Malik why he didn’t throw the ball on that third down,” LaFleur said. “He told me that Josh threw up on the ball. That is the first time I have ever heard that. Matter of fact, the official came over to me and said we saw your center throwing up on the ball, do you want us to take him out next time? I said absolutely, please do that. You are talking about a critical situation; it is third down and I have never had to throw with vomit on the football.”

No matter how many games and years you watch the NFL, there is always the chance to see something new.
