Brian Wallace, a former Arkansas offensive lineman, has passed away. He was 26.

Wallace was a St. Louis area native and a 4-star recruit when he signed with Arkansas in 2014 after being recruited by Sam Pittman when he was the offensive line coach. Wallace chose Arkansas over Alabama and Iowa.

In recent days, Wallace was in the Intensive Care Unit of a St. Louis hospital following 2 heart attacks he had on Monday, according to Pig Trail Nation. He is in a coma and has very little brain function at this time according to his father, Brian Sr., who also said he isn’t breathing on his own.

Wallace was having issues breathing on Monday while at work. He went outside to sit in his car and try to see if he could get to feeling better. Wallace then went back into work and collapsed with a heart attack. The medical personnel worked hard to get him to breathing again.

Pittman on Thursday asked for prayers for Wallace and his family.
