Chandler Wooten, a 3-star outside linebacker from Kennesaw, Ga., will be announcing where he’ll be playing college football in less than 24 hours. While he’s mentioned that five different schools are in contention, it’s really between two.

He’ll choose between Auburn and Tennessee, while Florida, South Carolina, and Michigan State serve as outside shots for his future services.

“Tennessee and Auburn definitely stand out with who recruits me the most,” Wooten told SEC Country. “I talk to Tennessee on a daily basis. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t talk to coach Butch Jones or (linebackers) coach (Tommy) Thigpen or (receivers) coach (Zach) Azzanni. Those guys are recruiting me really hard.”

Wooten, who stands at an impressive 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, is considered the No. 30 overall player at his position for the recruiting class of 2017, according to 247Sports. His recruiting profile suggests that he’ll end up landing with the Tigers, though the Vols still stand a fighting chance.

“Auburn is close to home,” Wooten said. “I have a teammate there. Auburn University, I know the coaching staff there as well. They (Auburn and Tennessee) have a lot of things in common.”

Wooten is set to make his announcement around 10:30 a.m. ET on Friday morning.
