Alabama cornerback sent home just hours before CFP semifinal vs. Spartans

AÂ key backup defender for the Crimson Tide won’t be playing in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Thursday.
Just a day before kickoff, Alabama sent sophomore cornerback Tony Brown home. The school was brief in detailing the decision, providing a one-sentence statement on Wednesday afternoon.
“We have made an internal decision to send Tony Brown home due to a violation of team rules,” it read.
No further explanation was given.
