I should start off by saying that I define a ‘hype’ video as anything meant to instill school spirit and/or get people excited about something.

What I find most amazing about the following videos, is that at one point and time, each of their creators hit the save button, stepped back and thought, “This is something I am proud of. This is something the world needs to see.”

GEORGIA:

Yes, that is Mark Richt’s son. No, it’s not something UGA fans are proud of:

You’re going to cringe a few times at this one … but let’s be real, the group who made this video wanted you to cringe:

Here’s a brand new addition…because they’re ‘bringing Gurley back’ (yup):

MIZZOU:

The following videos not only feature nearly 7,000 combined down-votes on YouTube, but also comments such as “This made me drop out of Mizzou.

MISSISSIPPI STATE:

Mississippi State has one heck of a football team this year, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, they have also followed a trend: When schools who don’t typically have a great football team suddenly find themselves with said football team … their fans LOSE THEIR MINDS.

Don’t take popular songs and remix them with your own lyrics. DON’T DO IT.

TEXAS A&M:

Texas A&M was REALLY excited to be in the SEC wanted everyone to like them, so they made this:

That video was quickly deleted from their official channel … but once you put something on the internet, it never goes away. As a matter of fact, it was so bad that someone made a hilarious parody of it:

FLORIDA:

This is witty. Awful, but witty.

TENNESSEE:

Everyone watch this guy do his Vol Walk! He really, really wants you to watch him do his Vol Walk…

ALABAMA:

His name? Julio Jones.

NON-SEC:

“Hey, KSU: 1989 called, they want their video back.”

Appalachian State is HOT! HOT! HOT!

Florida State was preseason ranked No. 1 in 1988, so they made this video to celebrate. The Seminoles then promptly dropped their opening game to Miami 31-0.

THE BEST:

All joking aside, the following videos are spectacular. Featuring incredible production value, great writing and strong concepts, these will captivate you:

“Gators Always”

“A Letter for Larry”
