Dallas police released a statement and conducted a brief press conference Saturday regarding its investigation into former Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel’s alleged assault on ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
The most noteworthy update from today’s statement is that the police are reviewing surveillance footage. The video is reported to be of the valet area at Dallas’ Hotel ZaZa, where Colleen wrote in her affidavit about the Jan. 30 incident that Manziel forced her into his car at the hotel’s valet despite her cries for help.
Manziel, on the Cleveland Browns roster for the time being, has yet to be charged with anything, and Saturday’s statement did not offer any new information on charges. The Dallas Morning News recently quoted Maj. Midge Boyle as hoping to complete the investigation by the end of next week.
The full statement can be viewed below in a screenshot tweeted by ESPN producer Ashook Moore.
