Former Georgia coach Mark Richt met with his players for the final time on Thursday.

The words he reportedly left them with will likely be the object of discussion for Georgia fans for many years to come:

Richt, who was at Georgia for 15 years and is expected to be announced as the new coach at Miami, hit on a hot-button issue for many of the Bulldog faithful with that one.

Though he brought Georgia two championship rings in 2002 and 2005, the Bulldogs had not experienced a conference championship during the last 10 seasons with him at the helm.

Championships or not, there is little doubt that Richt did make his time at Georgia about the people involved.

Was this a subtle shot at Georgia for letting him go? Should a coach feel this way in regards to championship and relationships?

Those debates are likely to go on for some time.
