9 cities bid to host College Football Playoff championship games
Wednesday marked the deadline for cities to submit bids to host the 2018, ’19 and ’20 College Football Playoff championship game.
A total of nine cities are bidding for the three games, ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reported.

Last year, Ohio State and Oregon played the inaugural CFP championship in Arlington, Texas. SEC teams are eyeing a trip to Glendale, Ariz., after the 2015 season and Tampa, Fla., after the 2016 season.
Here are the cities bidding to become the next three championship sites.

In other news, there will be one fewer bowl game following the 2015 season than originally anticipated.
