Earlier this morning, Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd showed his lack of respect for Alabama while showing some for the Big Ten at the same time.

Now, a player from the Big Ten is throwing some dirt on the Crimson Tide.

Ohio State junior receiver Michael Thomas laid out Alabama’s schedule this season, showing a list that has the Crimson Tide going 1-1 against what he sees as “currently ranked opponents.” However, the rankings that Thomas is showing below pertain to last week’s AP Poll rankings, not the latest one released on Sunday.

If he were using the latest AP Poll (only saying this because he used the AP Poll), it shows that Alabama has faced three currently ranked opponents this season (No. 16 Ole Miss, No. 23 LSU and No. 25 Wisconsin).

Nonetheless, his point is that Alabama’s strength of schedule is weak. Well, if Thomas were to lay out the Buckeyes’ schedule the same way (using the latest AP Poll), he’d see that Ohio State has actually faced fewer ranked opponents (two). Those have come in each of the last two weeks against Michigan State and Michigan, and the Buckeyes have split those two games.

Ohio State is currently No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings and is crossing its fingers for a huge push by the committee following its 42-13 win at Michigan.

Regardless, there’s little doubt that Alabama will make the playoff as long as it takes care of business against Florida in the SEC Championship Game this Saturday.

Thomas is 9th in the Big Ten with 59.1 receiving yards per game is tied for the 2nd-most touchdown catches in the conference with 8 TDs this season.
