The Super Bowl is less than a week away, and the two SEC quarterbacks involved couldn’t be any more different.

In fact, the Denver Broncos’ Peyton Manning and the Carolina Panthers’ Cam Newton are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to their playing styles.

However, while being surrounded by media on Opening Night of Super Bowl 50 festivities, Manning believes the two will share one major similarity real soon.

“No doubt in my mind he’ll be named MVP Saturday night,” Manning said of Newton, who’s the frontrunner to win the award the day before the Super Bowl. “You don’t go 17-1 without being awesome.”

Manning is speaking for most people who believe Newton will take home the same award that Manning has won five times. Nonetheless, the two don’t share the same tendencies when reaching the end zone.

Or do they?

Manning says he’d let loose if he scored touchdowns with his legs.

“I don’t run for any touchdowns,” Manning said, “but I promise you if I do on Sunday I’ll celebrate.”
